Rules and regulations

When you travel with our buses and trains, your journey is subject to our travel rules and regulations and to the The Joint National Travel Regulations for public transport in Denmark.

Our rules for travelling

You travel at child fare, if you are under 16 years of age and at senior fare, if you are over 67 years of age.

A paying adult or senior may bring up to 2 children under the age of 12 for free. A paying child may bring 1 child under the age of 12 for free. However, this does not apply when using a School Pass.

You may bring a small dog or animal for free, if it's in a handbag or similar for the entire journey. Larger dogs, that cannot fit in a handbag, travel at child fare.

You may not bring larger dogs or animals on city buses in Aalborg (lines 1-49) on weekdays from 07:00-08:30 and 14:30-17:00. However, this does not apply to guide dogs and service and signal dogs with emblems. They travel for free on all buses and trains at all times of the day.

You can pay with cash on all our buses - except Plusbus. You can also pay with Dankort on our express buses and in city buses in Aalborg. You can pay with payment cards at ticket machines at train and Plusbus stations.

You must carry valid ID (e.g., health card, driving licence) on buses and trains, so you can present it during ticket inspection as documentation for your age and name.
